Swap Text Case inverts the capitalisation of every letter in a passage: uppercase letters become lowercase, lowercase become uppercase, and everything else stays where it is. It is the toggle that fixes text typed with Caps Lock on, and the quickest way to see how a font or a layout behaves when the case profile flips. The change is per code point, using Unicode case mapping rather than ASCII arithmetic, so accented letters and non-Latin scripts with case pairs are handled. Digits, punctuation and symbols have no case and are left alone. The page reports how many characters actually changed, which distinguishes a real inversion from text that was already mixed. It is not title case and not sentence case; those are different transformations with their own rules. It is the tool for repairing a shouted sentence, producing a deliberately inverted style for a puzzle, and testing whether a comparison or a search is case-sensitive. Because the transformation is an involution, applying it twice returns the original, which makes it safe to try on a draft. The count is useful for mixed text: a sentence with only a few capitals reports a small number, while a fully shouted line doubles its letter count. Non-cased characters stay identical, so a comparison of lengths before and after always matches.

How to use Swap Text Case

  2. Read the swapped output and the changed count.
