Remove Emojis deletes emoji from plain text without leaving the broken pieces that a naive character filter produces. A family emoji is several pictographs joined by zero-width joiners, a flag is a pair of regional indicators, and a skin tone is a modifier attached to a base - removing only the visible base would leave invisible debris that still breaks searches and imports. The page matches the whole sequence first, then optionally removes Unicode symbols such as the copyright sign, trademark and mathematical operators, which are symbols rather than emoji and are therefore a separate choice. Spaces, punctuation, line breaks and ordinary text are left exactly where they were; the only change is deletion, or a single space when you ask for one in place of each removed sequence. No spacing normalisation is attempted, so a double space can remain where an emoji sat between two words. It is the tool for cleaning a social export before analysis, stripping decorated headings, and removing pictographs from a message that has to pass through a system with limited character support.
