Online Text Editor is a plain-text workspace with the small tools that usually require three separate pages: live character, word and line counts, one-click uppercase, lowercase and title case, line trimming, copy, and a download as a .txt file. It deliberately does not try to be a word processor. There is no rich text, no font picker, no image insertion and no document format to fight with - what you type is what the file contains. The editor also does not autosave. That is a stated limitation rather than an oversight: a browser-only page has no storage by default, so closing the tab loses the buffer, and the page tells you to copy or download before leaving. Counts update as you type, with characters measured in code points so an emoji is one unit rather than two. It is the tool for drafting a short text, cleaning up a paste, checking length before submitting a form, and producing a plain file without opening a desktop application. Because the editor works on the whole buffer, a formatting button applies to every line at once; there is no selection-only mode, which is a deliberate simplification rather than an invisible behaviour. The downloaded file is UTF-8 plain text, so line breaks and non-ASCII characters survive a move to another editor.
