Create Text Palindrome builds a palindrome from whatever you type by appending the reverse of the text to the text itself: abc becomes abccba, and the result reads the same from either end. The odd-length mode drops the last character of the reversed half, so abc becomes abcba and the seam has a single centre character instead of a doubled pair. Both modes mirror the exact characters, including spaces and punctuation, which is why a phrase ending in a comma produces a palindrome beginning with that comma. The page is honest that the result is a shape, not a sentence: mirroring makes the characters symmetric but does not make the wording grammatical or meaningful. It is the tool for word puzzles, for generating a test string for a reversal function, and for demonstrating why a palindrome is a property of characters rather than of words. The result reports its length, and the checker page can verify it independently. The seam is the interesting part: an even-length palindrome doubles its centre, while the odd mode leaves one character between the two halves. Neither mode changes the original prefix, so it always matches what was typed. Because the prefix is untouched, an input that is already a palindrome produces another palindrome rather than an error. The length is reported in code points, so an emoji counts as one even though it occupies two UTF-16 units.

How to use Create Text Palindrome

  1. Type or paste the text to mirror.
  2. Choose whole-mirror or odd-length mode.
  3. Copy the palindrome or clear to start over.

What you get

  • The mirrored text, either with a doubled centre or a single one.
  • The total character count of the result.
  • The original characters preserved exactly, including punctuation.

When to use Create Text Palindrome

  • Generate a palindrome from a name or a short phrase for a puzzle.
  • Create a test string that must read identically after reversal.
  • Demonstrate the difference between even and odd palindrome construction.

Frequently asked questions about Create Text Palindrome

Does the result have to make sense?

No. Mirroring guarantees symmetry, not grammar. A meaningful palindrome is a writing problem, not a transformation.

What is the odd mode for?

It drops the last character of the reversed half so the palindrome has a single centre character, which looks tidier for some inputs.

Are spaces and punctuation mirrored too?

Yes, exactly. That can put a punctuation mark at the start of the result if the input ended with one.

Is my text uploaded?

No. Construction runs in your browser; nothing is sent to a server or stored.
