SERP Snippet Preview shows an approximate Google-style title, URL and description with desktop and mobile widths and character plus pixel guidance, clearly labelled as approximate. It is a composing aid rather than a measurement instrument: you type the three pieces of text, and the page renders them at the two widths a result is usually read at, marking where a line is likely to be cut. Pixel widths are estimated from character counts rather than measured from a font, and the page says so in those words, because a preview that implied precision it does not have would be worse than no preview. Length warnings appear past sixty characters for a title and a hundred and sixty for a description, following common display guidance rather than any engine's published rule. Nothing is fetched, no ranking score is produced, and no page is contacted: the words you see are the words you typed, arranged the way a result usually is. The display URL is treated as its own field rather than derived from the page address, because the path a result shows is often a shortened or rewritten form of the real one. Nothing about the preview is stored: the three fields live in the page while it is open, and closing the tab leaves nothing behind on the device. The pixel width is an estimate from character counts rather than a measurement taken from a rendered font, so a title that looks long here may still fit.

What you get

When to use SERP Snippet Preview
- Check if a title truncates before publishing.
- Tune a meta description to ~160 characters.
- Read your own snippet beside the wording you are up against, without fetching either page.
