GPA Calculator computes a credit-weighted average from your course grades, on a 4.0, a 5.0 or a custom 1-10 scale. The weighting is the part that matters and the part people get wrong by hand: a four-credit course moves the average twice as far as a two-credit one, and an unweighted mean quietly flatters or penalises a term depending on how the credits happened to fall. You enter up to a hundred courses with their credits, the page returns the weighted GPA and the grade points behind each row, so the arithmetic can be followed rather than trusted. Credits must be above zero and grade points are bounded by the scale you picked, which stops a mistyped twelve-credit course from dominating the result. It is arithmetic and nothing more: no transcript is read, no transfer-credit rules are applied, and no admission outcome is predicted. Use it to check a semester before results publish, or to test what one improved grade would actually do to the average. Courses with zero credits are refused rather than counted, since a course that carries no credit cannot move a weighted average and including it would only add noise to the list. The scale is a choice rather than an assumption, because a school that reports on a five-point scale and one that reports on four are not comparable, and a calculator that silently picks one produces a number the reader will quote in the wrong system. Because the average is credit-weighted, a four-credit seminar pulls twice as far as a two-credit tutorial, and the grade points behind each row are shown so the weighting can be checked.

How is the GPA weighted?
Each course contributes grade points times credits; the GPA is that sum divided by total credits, displayed half-up to two decimals.
Can I use a scale other than 4.0 or 5.0?
Yes. Custom mode accepts any maximum from 1 to 10, and every row is validated against it.
Does it predict admission or transfer credit?
No. It performs arithmetic on numbers you enter. Transcripts, weighting policies, and admissions depend on rules this tool does not know.
Where do my grades go?
